Lucrecia Sodo is born in Rosario on December 11th, 1975.

She starts to develop her artistic restlessness through acrylic painting in the year 1990, at the age of 15.

From then, as an autodidactic and simultaneously to her secondary and university studies, she paints pictures and objects which have diffusion and reach only in the family ambit and in her circle of friends and known ones.

She finishes her Architecture studies in the year 2001.

She starts to follow a course on the Fine Arts career and assists the “Taller Experimental de Estampado y Serigrafía del Centro Cultural Rojas” (Buenos Aires), determined to investigate new forms of plastic expression.

In the year 2002 she gets the third prize in a painting contest in San Telmo (Buenos Aires), called by institutions and artistic spaces of the neighborhood and sponsored by the “Secretaría de Turismo del Gobierno de la ciudad de Buenos Aires”. Then the opportunity of an individual display presents. In this one, her first exposition, she gets very good acceptance, sells three of the exposed works and is contacted by people interested in transferring the display to other sites in Capital Federal in the course of 2003 and 2004.

She was in charge of the Design Area of the “Centro Cultural Arturo Jauretche” (Richieri 2036 – Rosario) during the years of 2004 and 2005, where she developed the publicity graphs of the Cultural Centre and illustrations of articles from the group’s magazine. She was the coordinator of art and design in the silkscreen workshop developed by the “Talleres de Oficio del Centro Cultural Arturo Jauretche”.

At the present time, aside from working in her profession, she continues to paint and display. She makes, also, a production of accessories and painted objects, experimenting new forms of production oriented to transfer her designs to other artistic-craft techniques.
